Italian-American muscle machine mash up leaves us… confused

It’s called the Tractorri, and the oddball automotive mash up mixes two unlikely vehicles against each other in an all-out assault on the senses. At first glance, the car seems like prior-generation Ford Mustang wearing an odd body bit and the wrong wheels. Take a peek inside or under the rear glass, and things take a far stranger turn. Underneath the skin, this Mustang hides an Italian secret… it’s actually a Lamborghini Gallardo. Che cazzo! Tractorri made it’s debut at the 2007 SEMA show, but it recently popped in to Irvine, California for a visit to Cars and Coffee. [Images courtesy of CNCpics.com] While the idea of a 520-horsepower Mustang is always one that I can get behind, I’m not in love with going about it in this manner. We poke fun of folks that turn their Fiero into a Fauxrrari. For some reason, the creator of the Tractorri has decided to flip things around, messing with our brains in the process. I was minding my own business, standing next to the R-Spec Genesis sedan (review coming soon) that I drove to that lot that morning. Leo, one of the always present photogs for CNCpics and a friend of Hooniverse, sauntered over and told me I HAD to go see the car parked up front. A short trip across the parking lot, and I was face to face with an automotive enigma. After awhile of staring and pondering, I walked back to the Hyundai where Leo was waiting. My brain hurt. Why would someone do this? Is this atrocious or awesome? Should the car be caned around a racetrack or crushed in a junkyard? Is it a sleeper or a super suck machine? So many questions, and I don’t have the answers to any of them. Of course, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t want to drive it. After all, it’s still a Gallardo under its formerly-Ford skin. Any Lamborghini is fun to drive, and Ferruccio’s heart and soul are still hiding amidships in this Italian-American… thing. What say you, the beloved Hooniverse readership, is this awesome of awful? Here in the ‘Verse, we’re not keen on ripping apart the hard work of others, even if we disagree with the ultimate product. Still, the Tractorri is an incredibly polarizing machine, and we don’t know how to feel here. Minds.Blown. I’m going to stop “talking” here so you can take a stroll through the rest of the photos below. Sound off with your opinion in the comments below.
