Hooniverse Weekend Edition: When NASCAR was Cool; The Historic Grand National Stock Car Association

While I was over at Brian Lohnes blog BangShift, I discovered an earlier posting he did about the Historic Grand National Stock Car Association. Read more about the association after the break. The website has a lot of information, but the pages I get excited about were the Event Photos section. Here they show these cars in racing action, not necessarily the fender rubbing type of racing, but flogging the cars none-the-less. It sure makes the Jelly Beans they call “NASCAR Stock Cars” look inadequate, with stickers used to tell the models apart from each other. NASCAR Back Then: Yea! NASCAR Today: Meh!
