Hooniverse Weekend Edition – Glastonbury AACA Show, With Mopars and Trucks.

Last weekend, I decided to go to the 38th annual Antique Auto Meet that was held in Glastonbury Connecticut and as you can tell from my other postings, I decided to highlight some of the iron that was at the show for this weekend. This will be my next to last post, and its dedicated to some of my favorite Mopars and Trucks that showed up for this event.

Let’s start with this stunning 1964 Chevrolet Chevelle El Camino. According to the fender badge, it was equipped with a 283 CID V-8, though I really don’t know what resides in the engine bay at the moment. It is equipped with a proper 4-speed manual though…

This is a menacing looking Ford 4th generation F-Series Pickup (originally built between 1961 and 1966), painted a flawless flat gray paint scheme. The wide White Walls on black Steelies are particularly menacing, but it’s what is under the hood that you get to know how menacing this thing really is. It’s a Big Block Ford Stroker, and I really couldn’t get to the owner to find out how big.

This is a 1969 Chevrolet C-20 Camper Special, and it’s packing some heat under it’s hood. Again, not sure how big, but when it takes up the entire engine compartment, it must be huge.

There were but two Mopars in attendance that were noteworthy, and this is the first one. It is an unrestored 1961 Chrysler 300 G, equipped with a stonking 413 CID Wedge Head V-8 that produced 375HP. Take a look at the interior shots in the Gallery.

This is a 1955 Dodge Coronet Coupe, and no, it’s not the much maligned LaFemme version. It looks to be in need of paint, but it is presentable nonetheless.
