Hooniverse Weekend Edition – A 1956 Ford F-100 Panel Truck

This is the beginning of our tribute to the Panel Truck Weekend, and I thought I would start out with this 1956 Ford F-100 featured within the pages of Hemmings. According to the listing this is a near original, whatever that means. If you want to see more pictures of this glorious Panel, you will have to make the jump…

According to the listing:

1956 Ford F-100 Custom Cab Panel Truck. “Best In Class” at 2011 Super Nationals. Former Fire Dept Ambulance. All Original 272 c.u. V/8 Ford-A-Matic. Original Glass. Full Headliner. One nice repaint in early 80’s. This truck had been in dry storage from 1984 until I purchased it in 2010. I replaced brakes and all rubbers, rebuilt the carb. New fuel pump and water pump. Radiator flushed. Transmission serviced. Full tune-up. The original seats have been re upholstered, and new premium carpet and door panels. Coker White Walls. This is a rust free, never hit, never hurt, very low mileage Panel If you want a near original 56, this one is for you!

The asking price for this near original truck is $35,000, which is nothing close to the near original price this F-100 went for in 1956. Do you think the asking price is worth it, or do you think the seller should expect less? Either way, this is a beautiful Panel Truck, and maybe it’s the way other manufacturers should produce their new vans. See the listing here, and let me know what you think.
