Hooniverse Weekekd Edition – Glastonbury AACA Show; Some Vantastic Vans

Last weekend, I decided to go to the 38th annual Antique Auto Meet that was held in Glastonbury Connecticut and as you can tell from my other postings, I decided to highlight some of the iron that was at the show for this weekend.

Here are three Vantastic Vans that made it to this event…

This van is based off the third generation of the Ford Econoline. It is the extended version of the series, and the theme for this van is the “Neverending Story” movie franchise. It is over the top, in your face, and everything you could ever want in a custom van. Even the plate is unique…

This van is based off the first generation Chevrolet Astro. The theme for this van is the Transformers Franchise, with an appropriate name of VanFormer. Air Ride, Lamborghini Doors, and Ghetto-Tastic rims complete the package. Another over-the-top creation, in a smaller package.

Here is a first generation Chevrolet G Van that is quite tasteful compared with the other two. This would be either a 1964 or 1965 model, as the 1966 included backup lamps. This van did receive an engine transplant, since the early vans were only offered with a four or six cylinder engine. Slotted mags complete the look.
