I hope you are enjoying this Malaise Era Low Mileage Weekend Edition, and this next car really doesn’t fall into the Malaise Era per-say, but it is such an incredible find that I said “what the hell”. This is a nearly flawless 1970 Jaguar XK-E, finished in a period correct colour that makes me weak at the knees.
According to the listing:
1970 Jaguar E-Type Series II Roadster. All original car that has never been retored or reconditioned. Its all original right down to the Dunlop tires. Its finished in Sable with Biscuit interior with Black Everflex top and boot cover and chrome wire wheels. Its always been garaged and kept out of the elements. Mechanically, its in excellent running order. It also comes with the original jack and wheel wrench,Owner’s Handbook, and custom car cover. This is a great E-type to invest in and show.
With only a couple of hours left, the current top bid is $40,300, and it didn’t meet the reserve. This is one of those cars that should be at one of those auctions that are held on the same weekend as the Pebble Beach Concourse… It is that desirable. See the listing here, and tell me what you think.
