We’ve seen a lot of crazy cars that are powered  by what were formerly aircraft engines, heck I’m pretty sure Leno has one or two of them cluttering up his warehouse next to the Burbank airport as we speak. That’s an audacious and dramatic conversion, but what about going the other way? Car engines and airplane engines work in very different environments, and those environments usually have different demands. That being said, there have been quite a few mills that have started out for the street, that have later turned up reaching for the skies. Considering that the automotive age and that of the aircraft have long been in parallel, that’s not just coincidental.
