Hooniverse Asks- What's the Coolest Wheeled Military Vehicle

In the midst of BBQ’s and various get togethers around the country, remembering the real meaning of Memorial Day has always been important to me. Formerly named Decoration Day and onto the current Memorial Day, we honor those who have died while in military service. Being enthusiasts we enjoy seeing the tools of the trade and today we will ask about the wheeled vehicles currently or in past service. Tanks, I’ve always been a fan of their brutal and seemingly unstoppable force on a battlefield. Specifically the M1 Abrams which has been in service for 34 years, and has served in 3 wars in the Persian Gulf. Armed with a main armament 105mm L52 M68 rifled cannon in M1 trim, or a 120mm L44 M256 smoothbore cannon in M1A1 trim, the Abrams main battle tank has all the firepower to back up it’s intimating looks. Additionally, powered by a Honeywell AGT1500 turboshaft gas turbine engine it’s operational range of 265 miles calculates to a quite efficient .53 miles per gallon. What other wheeled or tracked military vehicle is your favorite?
