Hooniverse Asks: What other automaker need its own Rennsport Reunion?

By Jeff Glucker Oct 1, 2018

Porsche fans flocked to Laguna Seca to experience Rennsport Reunion VI. The even celebrated the German automaker and all of its wares produced over the course of the last 70 years. This includes iconic race cars both old and new, and the road cars that have found their rear-engined way into the hearts of many. The video above provides a fantastic glimpse into the event.
But it also leaves me thinking about what other automakers need to have such a gathering. I like Porsche but I’m not a person consumed by the brand. There are other automakers that could put together such a gathering and I’d be a bit more curious about attending.
Mercedes-Benz, for example, could put on one hell of a show. But not every brand would have an appealing and compelling all-hands get together. Which automaker would you love to see produce an even similar to Porsche’s Rennsport Reunion?

    1. No, wait, not so hasty there. How many thousands, exactly? Like, one or more thousands? US dollars? If it helps with the fundraising I’m prepared to throw in a three-wheeled moped, an Itera bicycle, and a two-stroke pogo stick to round out the event.
