A summer road trip is part and parcel an integral element of the American dream. Of course not having a sweet ride can stymie such plans, unless nobody has a car, in which case you can just run.  Such a road trip is best enjoyed when shared with a friend, maybe even just one you pick up along the way.

This clever video for Tony Rogers’ I.L.O.U. is the fourth released in support of his album, Sycamore. The Chicago artist is best known for his song Great, which has been used in a dog food commercial that – if you’re an animal lover – I defy you to watch without getting a little emotional. Of course, we’re too busy for commercials here. That’s because we’re hitting the highway, car or not, just like the army of yellow-clad road warriors in Rogers’ latest. Check it out after the jump.
