The service cost of exotic cars is not discussed very often. Many of us heard stories of a $20,000 Ferrari shock absorber but we’re not sure if it’s fact or fiction. We do know that service costs of exotic-y Italian cars are not cheap, but we do not know exactly how not cheap they are.

Yesterday my friend Mike forwarded me an email from a dealer advertising their spring maintenance specials. We have all seen them before, and we have all promptly sent them to our ‘spam’ folder. The battery and fluid replacement costs are not that bad. However, the annual service consists mostly of inspections and additions of fluid. And, like with any other car, it also gives the dealership an opportunity to tell the owners what stuff they need to spend a lot of money on. Dealerships make a lot of money on service, but first they need to have your car in order to tell you what you need.
