Here it is, real and magnificent, one of the original Ford GT40 race cars. The ad says that this P/1003 maybe the most original in existence, and goes a little bit into its history. It has competed in the 1965 and 1966 Nurburgring 1000Km endurance races and various others such as Trophee du Cognac and Targa Florio. It has had the same owner for the past thirty years, and now is your opportunity to own this amazing piece of history.

If you have to ask “how much”, then you can’t afford it. Having seen its cousin in real life, I can say that there is no single picture that does this car justice. More pics after jump and… a challenge!!

So, imagine for a second that you have been tasked with selling this here vehicle. The only thing is, you have to sell this Ford GT40 on Craigslist. Your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to write an Craigslist ad for the car. 

The text of your ad must be catchy, “honest”, and perhaps slightly exaggerated. It should reflect the car’s age, condition and paint a pretty picture for the potential buyer. Feel free to omit obvious facts about the car, in the only way a Craigslister can. The most up-voted ad gets a memory stick prize.
