There are times when it just doesn’t feel like it’s fair to be North American. The Europeans get the best sports sedans, the best compacts, the best diesels. They get Top Gear live on their TV sets, without having to resort to downloading it re-runs.
Now, The Remarkable Mr. Scroggzilla has made us feel even worse. As he points out, “In Europe, ESPN Classic shows vintage motorsport programming ALL the time. Meanwhile, in North America, ESPN Classic gives us AWA wrestling and Stump the Schwab reruns. You’d think we lost a buncha wars or sumpin!”
To that end, he has sent along a series of videos, comprising an episode of their “Racing Through Time” series, featuring Juan Manuel Fangio. Enjoy. I sure as hell did.

As an added bonus, Scroggs has included a video of Fangio (“The Master”) winning the inaugural 12 Hours of Sebring in 1956
