Well, I’m hoping to drive at the Inde race again, probably, and most likely be at both Ridge races in some capacity, either driving or working with HQ. Perhaps one of the California races, too? Oh, and the first CMP race is a true 24, which I’ve never done yet. I hear they build character. Probably also a Lemons rally at some point?

I can’t really say just yet. Lemons HQ may plan their year in advance but I certainly don’t.

Edit: The Colorado race in September is also a true 24. Very tempting…

Either/or between Joliet and Pittsburgh. They are scheduled too close together to realistically plan to do both. I might do neither again, because April is just awfully early to expect decent weather at either of them.
One or both of the Gingerman races really needs to be on my schedule, though. I’d like to do at least 2 races (to somewhat make up for having done zero in 2019), so if I don’t do Joliet or Pittsburgh, I’ll do both Gingerman races.

Thanks. Guy seems a bit shook. I would be too.

I wish Lemons would come to Mid Ohio. None of them are close enough for me to just go out of curiosity and I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to actually participate.

Do they get many people just coming as spectators?

At the tracks I’ve raced there have been only a few spectators, most of whom were the family or friends of people on a team. The paddock and the penalty box can be fun, but watching the race itself for the most part is only compelling in small doses. It’s very much like seeing a marathon pass by repeatedly instead of seeing a series of sprints. I like driving at Lemons, I like working at Lemons, and I just plain like hanging out at Lemons, but as a spectator I’d rather be at a vintage drag race.

That makes sense. I love the idea, but coming up with several thousand dollars to spend on a $500 race car and then dragging it several hours away to race it isn’t likely anytime soon.
