Craigslist: 1991 Ford F-150 is Ready to Take You Back in Time

00000_kQUQtdrTlys_600x450 For your Truck Thursday enjoyment, I present to you what might be the coolest truck on the internet today. 1991 was a good year for Ford trucks – it was the final year of the 8th-generation F-Series, and with a full range of trim levels on offer, Ford was determined to send it out with a bang. This truck is one of the nicest examples of a top-of-the-line XLT Lariat that I have seen in a long time. Take the jump below and see if you don’t agree. 00C0C_2zYeU0YUqO4_600x450 As I mentioned, this rig has all the bells & whistles, and low miles to boot. It even has matching floor mats! From the ad:

01414_cXO5krswbWC_600x450 The early 1990’s were, in my opinion, the high-water mark for personal luxury pickups. In those days, any man worth his salt had a truck, and if he had really made it in life – or in the neighborhood – he bought a luxury pickup. Our neighbor across the street had one, and our neighbor next door had two, plus an Eddie Bauer Explorer. Those were the images that were etched into my young mind – pinstripes, two-tone paint, wheel covers, running boards, velour seats, plush carpet, and of course, a pleather trash bag under the dash. Bonus points if you had a stick-on calendar on the dash pad. Oh sure – there are plenty of big, pondering trucks on the road today, loaded down with features and luxury, but they don’t have the same presence as this beauty, with its camper, colonnade windows, and full-length running boards. 00f0f_7reYpTfgqIx_600x450 Forget about the price for a minute, we all know that ain’t happening. What do you think of this burgundy beauty? Would you change anything about it? What would you pay for it? Let us know in the comments. [Source: Seattle Craigslist]
