American Flat Track racing heads to Indy this weekend

Yes, the very fast cars are heading to the Indy 500 this weekend. But if you’re a fan of two-wheel motorsport, then you should be happy to know that American Flat Track racing is also going to be in Indiana for the weekend. The series heads to the local fairgrounds to run two events at the Indy Mile. The first is on August 21st and the second happens August 22nd. Both races will be broadcast on NBC Sports, and it seems that AFT wants the shots to look good because there will be drone footage and onboard shots as well.

The Indy 500 will grab the headlines. And it should, it’s one of the premiere dates on the motorsport calendar. But if you also want to watch rad bikes being flung sideways across a dirt track in close-quarter racing, then American Flat Track has got you covered.

They were using a variation of the Harley Street for that. I think it was because people wouldn’t notice the water cooling. They sold a dressed up Street to look like to look like that one you could get in the dealerships. I saw one of these when I had mine.
