Having established that we have a 4Runner fetish here at Hooniverse, we began to wonder about making our 4Runners even more functional.

Recent thought:
Someone needs to do an overland / safari build on a Honda Accord Crosstour. Google image search indicates that it hasn’t been done and I can’t imagine why not.
I always saw the Crosstour as a starting point for an executive sand rail.
I see issues with entry/exist for the driver and passenger.
If you’re on a budget, the answer is always Delica/Starwagon. If not, then VW Transporter 4×4 (4Motion/4xMotion/whatever)
That is orders of magnitude better.
Quigley? Or a solid axle conversion on the ‘egg’ Toyota Tarago? (forgetting what they are called in the US)

Has anybody done a 4×4 Nissan NV 3500? It’s on a Titan chassis so the stuff should just bolt in.

There should be amble space for a reasonable transverse I4 in that front overhang. Otherwise, I’m all for a Previa-on-steroids-approach.
