Sooooooooooooooooooon. Swedish Car Day, here we come.

What rims are you currently running? I know plenty of Slaabs who love them, but I’ve never been a fan of SAAB 3-spoke designs, especially the SPGs from the mid/late 80s (heresy, right?). Come to think of it, 3-spoke designs just seem wrong, unless you’re rocking 3-lug wheels.
mdharrell, you’re likely our resident expert on 3-lug wheels, re: aesthetics in this particular area?
Also, this Swedish Car Day sounds interesting, although likely on the wrong side of the US for me.

It’s currently got the 16″ Viking’s (the fat 3-spoke) wheels on it right now. I’d keep them on, but the center caps are all delaminating, and I’m pretty sure one’s bent. Plus, I reeeeally like how Super Aeros look on NG900’s…

Do you not remember working with this woman on several movies?
Maybe she’s not dressed quite as you recall…….

While we’re on the subject of motorcycles. Some news today of Harley Davidson’s new 107 and 114 c.i. engines (1750 & 1870 cc). Of interest, perhaps to some, is the use of four valve heads, (and twin plugs per head), hence the new name, ‘The Miluwakee Eight’.
But still with pushrod actuation, and this time back to a single cam, replacing the twin cams of the current model.
Is this the first multi-valve engine without overhead camshafts?

Not a first for H-D, evidently.
“Harley-Davidson built an eight-valve OHV V-twin for racing in the 1910s.”
      http://www.revzilla.com/common-tread/why-things-are-the-way-they-are-multi-valve-heads
The same article indicates the Honda CX series (the Silver Wings, V-Twin inline crank, Moto Guzzi style) is a pushrod OHV 4-valve.

I’d forgotten the CX( and a friend had a 650 Turbo which I’d ridden twenty years ago). D’oh.
And that is a good link.

Turbocharged motorcycles! That’s a bygone era, right? It started with the Honda CX Turbo in 1982, Yamaha came back with the XJ 650 Seca Turbo, Suzuki had their token XN85 for a year, and Kawasaki kept it going with the GPz 750 Turbo until 1985.
(Full disclosure, I’ve never heard of the XN85 or the turbo Kwak until I just looked them up now.)

Although aftermarket rather than factory, Krauser made 4 valve heads for BMW Airheads in the 70s and early 80s. I have seen one set in the US on an R100RS in 92.

I think the 24v Cummins I6 is pushrod.
I believe the Ferd 32v Scorpion diesel is, as well. And the D-max.

So I left the garage yesterday, looking satisfied.
    She: What’s it?
Me: It’s sealed now, no dripping.
    She: Bottom or top?
    Me: ??
She: Does the rain get in, or does the oil get out?
    She knows the car well.

Nope, that’s life, up here. Saw the car from my office and the ocean liner on my way home from the hardware store.
You surely see a cruise ship or two. ..

We can’t see the fjord, but the coastal express boats toot at 8 and 10 am – sharp, unlike most cruise ships. QM2 was always pretty punctual, too.
