2021 Chevrolet Suburban High Country – First Drive

By Jeff Glucker Aug 11, 2020

The 2021 Chevrolet Suburban is the latest version of a vehicle that’s been around for an amazing 85 years now. This one has all-new chassis bits, more room on the inside, and a fresh top-tier trim called the High Country. And that’s the one we’re driving today, which is good because it’s the one that comes standard with the 420-horsepower 6.2-liter V8 engine.

[Disclaimer: Chevy tossed us the keys to the 2021 Suburban and included a tank of fuel. We had it for less than eight hours so I tried to cover as much as I could in the video above.]

  1. I’ve resolved to try to say more positive statements on this site, so my takeaway from this video review is that the new Suburban “makes good noises”. That’s all I’ve got.

    1. LOL.

Let’s say you have a shit-ton of kids, then a vehicle like this might make sense. And if you DO fall into that camp, then it’s very good at what it does. Otherwise, yes I don’t see a reason for it.
