Last night on the snooze-fest that was the first Top Gear of the new year (although taped two weeks ago) the lads from Leeds (I know their not from Leeds, but it sounds good) attempted to one-up Hooniverse by awarding not only their Car of the Year winner, [...] Tom Sawyer, Huck Finn and Margaret Thatcher It’s been a bit of a disappointing season so far for Top Gear this fall, but the grand mal tourist episode last night somewhat made up for it. If you don’t have access to the show (say you’re in prison, or are a luddite) here’s a quick recap- [...] Boxy, but bad If you caught last night’s episode of Top Gear, and didn’t spend the entire time backing up and re-watching the part with the R8 and Corvette eating up the track like a grizzly consumes a hiker, then you caught the bit about their electric car. Not only did they sacrifice a TVR [...] James May owned a Dacia Sandero for all of about 20 minutes. Last night brought the return of a weekly injection of nirvana to hoon-hungry car nuts world-wide. Top Gear season 14 arrived not with a whimper, but the roar of 30-cylinder’s worth of exotic touring machinery blasting across Romania- home of James May’s beloved [...] It’s been a few months, but the wait is almost over- Top Gear begins anew this Sunday night.
