Hennessey Cadillac CTS-V Rips Sub-12 Quarter- OnStar High-Fives Them Over the Phone

Here’s a promotional video for the 700+ horsepower Hennessey CTS-V doing some quarters while testing. The in-car video is pretty good, but what makes it even better is that the brutal acceleration triggers the OnStar® accident warning and dials up a friendly operator who, like all OnStar® operators, exhibits a sweet southern drawl while making sure everything is alright. Do they only hire southern belles?

The Nissan GT-R may have a GPS-actuated lock that turns off the speed limiter when it detects you are on a race track, but does it automatically call up somebody for you to boast to about your lap times? I think not.

Hat tip to BrianTheHoon for the lead.

  • This would have been much better if the dude would have actually bragged to her about what just happened.
    "Sir, is everything all right??"
"Your DAMN RIGHT I'm all right! We just busted off an 11.07 in this biatch!"
"Sir, you did what? There's eleven people in your car?"
"NO! we done supercharged this here CTS-V and made us a drag car. Scooter must'a forgot to unhook the OnStar…."

  • Two things are immediately impressive about this: 1) It's a Cadillac (?!?!!) and 2) the amount of wheel slip during the 1-2 shift means better times yet await…

    • Actually, when I was on the same YouTube web tangent last night, there video of a run they crossed in 10.9. So, yeah, this thing is a freakin' BEAST. This video was so full of win I just had to submit it.

I swear by all that is holy, if I hit the Lotto (please God?) John Hennessey is going to be tuning a CTS-V Wagon for me.

  • I thought the OnStar call center was in Canada. Hmm… may have to punch in and ask where the hell they're located, just because I'm curious as hell now.

  • Impalamino

That's only a southern drawl if you're in Tuktoyaktuk.

  • First order of business as Cadillac hoon in charge of sales: Convince dealer to ship V to Hennessy.
