The Cammed & Tubbed Podcast: Episode 225 – I Hope We Both Die

This week on the Cammed & Tubbed Podcast, Cam and Brad are recording from the same time zone. Brad’s on the launch of the new Honda Accord, and has had a busy week at the race track and testing tires. There is a bit of an interruption early on by a hotel clerk that desperately wants to deliver some toilet paper. Stick around at the end for a special concert from Cam. It’s very good.

And, as is tradition, here’s a Question Tuesday episode that was recorded actually on Tuesday. We devolve into discussion of a really ridiculous youtube video for a bit. It’s terrible, don’t watch it. GANG!

The DFL Show: Episode 72 – Peep Lovely

This week on the DFL show we have Brad, Pat, and Eric to talk about racing a bit. Brad was in Monterey for the IMSA race at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca (Thanks Cadillac!) and managed to nab an interview with Alessandro Balzan and Giacomo Mattioli (Thanks Scuderia Corsa!) so stick around until the very end for that.

We also talk about Formula 1 seat swaps, NASCAR’s freedom problems, the Indycar Test at Sebring, a bit of WEC, a lot of IMSA news, and what little we know about the 8 Hours of California. This made for a pretty solid little episode, so thanks for listening and we hope you enjoy.

The DFL Show: Episode 69 – NICE!

We’ve returned for our sixty-nineth episode. It’s Brad, Pat, Eric, and occasionally Stef chiming in for a great episode. We talked about some news, some race recaps, and had another round of Robin Miller MadLibs. Unfortunately, Stef’s audio dropped recording right before the game, so…

Anyway, we hope you can enjoy it regardless. Thanks for supporting us through 69 awesome episodes.

The Cammed & Tubbed Podcast: Episode 222 – With Orson Welles

This week Cam and Brad are back to regularly scheduled bickering. Cam attempts an impression before the show starts. He also recently went to Detroit Moped Works. Discussion continues on to some quality tips and tricks that make you feel dumb you didn’t think of them. Stick around for the end with some Radwood updates, and bickering about the playlist.

Our traditional Question Tuesday episode has returned in full force, and our listeners were not miserly with the questions. We had a ton of great questions, and we hope our answers are to your liking. Thanks for listening!

The DFL Show: Episode 68 – Down With The Sickness

Eric is coughing a bit, but he joins Brad for the show because everyone else is busy. He’s got some great insight about Hot Rod Drag Week, as well as the upcoming Zip Tie Drags. We have a lengthy conversation about the future of touring cars. We talk about some early Formula 1 Silly Season shenanigans, and rumors of an all Kiwi team at Chip Ganassi.

The Great Podcast Catch Up Post

September 8th – Here is a brand new Cammed & Tubbed episode, back to our regularly scheduled programming.

The Cammed and Tubbed Podcast – Hand in Unlovable Hand

Hoons and Hoonettes, it is my solemn duty to apologize to you for missing nearly a month of podcast posts here on this great site. You see, I have been away from my home for over a month, and did not have time to get caught up on these posts until just today. For that, I am truly sorry. I was first on a vacation with my wife and her family, then off to H&R to drive one of their SEMA cars for European Car Magazine, then it was Car Week, and along with that came a Lemons Rally and I bought an unloved MG Midget. I went to a Willie Nelson concert, and followed that up with an assignment to drive Volvo’s new XC60 in Denver with an immediate flight to Atlanta to cover GridLife South 2017 (and the associated Ludacris concert) with Greggy Kach. Once I returned home, podcasts were on the back burner, but now they’ve been moved to the fore. You can catch up on all of that stuff and more with this playlist of podcasts that I was on. It’s a lot of content being thrown at you at once, but I must humbly request your time to listen to them all, as they’re all worthwhile. Sorry for the podcast dump, but hopefully you have a long road trip coming up where you can catch up on everything. Or perhaps a flight? I listen to a lot of podcasts on planes. It’s soothing. Hit the jump for everything you missed while I was away.

The Cammed & Tubbed Podcast: Episode 215 – Return Of The Hack W/ Rob Siegel

Welcome back to the glorious world of Cammed & Tubbed. Cam and I are ecstatic to welcome back hack author and tremendous mechanic (scratch that, reverse it) to our humble little show. For those who don’t know, Rob has written a few books lately that merit discussion. I have read and reviewed two of his books, including “Memoirs of a Hack Mechanic” and “Ran When Parked” right here on Hooniverse, so go check those out. He also has a couple books to help you troubleshoot mechanical ignition and general electrical system problems, which you can find on Amazon. Rob was previously a guest of the show nearly two years ago (my how time flies), and you can go back and listen to that episode to see how far he’s really come. We’ll call that the C&T Bump.

Enjoy the episode, Rob is a great guest.

The Cammed and Tubbed Podcast – Return of the Hack

We also published a Questions episode this week, which we’ll probably stop calling “Question Tuesday” because they rarely go up on Tuesdays anymore. It’s more C&T, which we know you’ll enjoy. Right? RIGHT?

The DFL Show: Episode 62 – WEC Is In Deep Shit

Eric, Pat, and Joel are around to discuss this week’s motorsport news goings on.

Randy Lanier had a heart attack, and you can help him out by giving to his crowd funding page. Check our Facebook page for the link.

F1 was a crazy display, Formula E season ender in Montreal, Indy/PWC at Mid O, Spa 24 was pretty crazy, Supercars raced at QLD, and NASCAR at Pocono.

Porsche quits WEC, IMSA quits COTA, new road course aero for Indycar, and so much more. Listener questions answered, awards given, and discuss what’s on the docket next week. Thanks for listening folks!

The Cammed & Tubbed Podcast: Episode 213 – Teenage Kizashi Dream

This week Cam and Brad are in the “studio” to record a new episode and do their normal ranty stuff that you may have grown to love (or perhaps hate?). There was a lot to talk about this week, as Cam got some new cats, Brad got to drive the new Infiniti Q50 RedSport 400, Brad has some project updates, a few cars are going to be coming up for sale from Brad’s collection, and he’s shopping for an EV for his wife. He’s also going on a pretty long road trip on Friday. If Cam hasn’t watched Baby Driver by the time he gets back from this road trip, the podcast is over forever.

Question Tuesday returns with an excellent selection of questions – some car-related, some not – to be answered by Cam & Brad.

Chaparral’s High Wing 2E Was A Thing Of Genius

Jim Hall was a badass car designer who thought so far outside the box that the people inside the box couldn’t even see him. His ideas came from left field and nobody expected them to work, but they all, inevitably, did work. His famed white cars are known throughout the world of auto racing enthusiasts as some of the coolest racers ever. Can Am, thankfully, allowed some of his wild ideas to race, and win. The 2E still ranks as among my favorite racing cars ever with a driver-adjustable wing and front aero flap configuration that allowed for downforce in the corners and drag reducing smooth airflow on the straights. Genius.

I recently got to see this car and all of its brothers on a long road trip. If you’re ever in Odessa Texas, check out the Permian Basin Petroleum Museum. It’s awesome.
