The Cammed & Tubbed Podcast: Episode 229 – Garage Disasters

Bradley Brownell October 13, 2017 Featured, Hooniverse Podcast 4 Comments

This week on Cammed & Tubbed, Cam and Brad are sitting around the mics to discuss the upcoming weekend on Brad’s docket, some work we’ve done on our project cars (and mopeds). Brad has a minor breakdown about how awful his garage is at the moment. Brad is headed to the bay area for a weekend with Sharkwerks, Canepa, 034 Motorsport, and some racing at Laguna Seca. We’ll have a lot to discuss next week.

Our now traditional Question Tuesday episode has a lot of great discussion this week. Brad begins the episode by reaffirming his relationship to the podcast and working toward treating his co-host a little better. Minutes later Cam gets in a sick burn that is worthy of a genuine belly laugh.

Regarding the the “what car would be better as an automatic” question, the answer I can come up with the the non turbo Fiat 500. The five speed in a standard 500 is one of the most disappointing manual transmissions I’ve come across. The clutch pedal is very lacking in feel and the shifter somehow manages to be both very vague yet rather clunky. It’s better served with the auto. The Abarth versions don’t seem to have this issue.

Aha, but would the car not be even better served still with a *better* manual?

      • Fuhrman16

        Oh most certainly.

Does that have a proper auto now, and not the robotised manual? Those are never good.
