First Drive: Lamborghini Huracan RWD Spyder

‘Member when supercars could scare you? Lamborghini ‘members…

The Italian purveyor of automotive glory has a brand new machine in its stable. It’s called the Huracan RWD Spyder, and it’s pretty easy to figure out what it’s all about. At least in terms of at which model you’re gawking.

What’s more exciting than staring though is driving, and this thing is designed to delight… and maybe frighten just a little bit. This Huracan RWD Spyder is a return to the idea that a supercar should keep you on edge, keep you focused, and keep you entertained at all times.

Yes, you can still put it in Drive and sit back and relax a bit… but even then, not too much. You have a 5.2-liter V10 feeding power just to the rear wheels in a car with an aluminum and carbon fiber chassis. You have a recipe for vehicular success and excitement… and it’s awesome.

[Disclaimer: Lamborghini dropped this car off at my house with a full tank of benzina. I used the car to develop thicker, more powerful chest hair.]
