Long Shots: A New Kind Of Taxicab

LongRoofian October 14, 2015 All Things Hoon, Terrible Ideas 9 Comments

So awhiles back this olelongrooffan was out and about on the highways and byways round these here parts I’m calling home these days. It was just a bit south of here that I spotted this monstrosity parked alongside that near wannabe interstate highway and the requirement to whip a Ueee was necessary. Click on through to see a few more images of this double decker cab.

Yeah a MOPAR minivan has been grafted onto a Panther to make a double decker taxi cab to, apparently, have the ability to move more touristas around the “Live Music Capitol of the World.”

There is not one view of this beast that makes it look good. I think this might just make it as my nominee for HCOTY.

Since I have spotted this thing, Bus_Plunge directed me toward a youtube video of what is apparently the only silly reality show that has not generated tremendous success. Thank goodness. My fellow Hoons may want to check out this treehouse on wheels.

The first song that popped into my head when seeing this was the Beatles’ “Yellow Submarine”….

And here, we see the wild Grand Caravan attempt congress with an equally wild Panther. This will not end well.

    • I was under the impression the Caravan had been shot and then strapped to the roof of the Crown Vic.

        Well, it is the Ozarks.

  • It’s very kind of them to provide labels to help sufferers of Achromatopsia.

Great find! I reckon it would make a pretty good RV.

The only other way for sufferers of achromatopsia to check that it’s actually that colour is to throw an iron cat at it and see if it sticks.

A lot of really well done body work to end up with…what?

I wonder how you get in the top one. Maybe a rope ladder?

maybe this is just a silly billboard-vehicle – not intended to transport passengers; just to draw attention to the Yellow Cab brand?
