Monterey Car Week Photo Dump: Dad’s Best

Bradley Brownell August 23, 2015 Pebble Beach, Vintage Racing 7 Comments

As something of an experiment, before we departed for Monterey, I gave my father one of my spare cameras and told him to take pictures of the stuff he found interesting. He’s not exactly a photographer, and he’s mostly a domestic car guy, so this has potential to be interesting. It’s an insight into the mind of a person who’s never been to Monterey before, never been to a Porsche show before, never seen a LeMon before. Click through the link to see what he found fun.

I’m not going to put a whole lot of writing into this, but will occasionally intersperse the photos with some of the actual words he said to me through the process of the weekend. Here we go.

It’s funny, we took pretty much the same photo of this car. Great minds think alike, I suppose.

Despite your father being domesticated he shows some good taste in cars.

You can lead a horse to water…

      • …but he’ll most likely have the coffee.

What’s that forward control convertible thing?

      Fiat Multipla Jolly.

Fiat Eden Roc, actually. Jolly looks a lot more like a Cinquecento.

This is such an awesome idea, I’m going to try it the first chance I get.
