Last Call- The Bull’s Ear Edition

Robert Emslie August 27, 2014 Last Call 10 Comments

Lamborghini’s revered Miura is beautiful from any angle, of that there is no doubt. There are certain angles however that are not commonly explored, and one of those is the ascending line that defines both the top of the aft-of-the-door scoop and the outer edges of the engine cover. It’s like an animal’s ear, and in this particular vantage the car seems unfamiliar and almost alien. Can you think of another isolated line on the Miura that’s equally as beguiling?

Last Call indicates the end of Hooniverse’s broadcast day. It’s meant to be an open forum for anyone and anything. Thread jacking is not only accepted, it’s encouraged.

    The door-handle. No parts-bin here.

And just down from your styling feature.

Also the use of colours other than mid-life crisis red.

Seems everyone got on the train in time…last call remains uncommonly little answered. So I'll flush two special offers from the world of Sjalabais:

What about a 1991 Volvo 240 build properly with a Toyota Supra 2JZ-GTE that is measured to 625hp and 930nm? That's with 1.5 bar turbo pressure, car has been used with a preasure of 2.5 bar. Volvo R brakes (a 300hp car) and lots and lots of updates. The price of 20,000$ is not even that bad.

Or what about a 1990 Volvo 780? Ship shape, everything works – rare and beautiful. 17000$.

That 240 is amazing, but $20K?

I do love me some 780 though… I had a chance to drop $7k on a super clean turbo one with a really well done 5 speed swap. It's probably my biggest automotive missed opportunity regrets.

    • Rover_1 says:

The 780 is on my list too. There are none in NZ so I would have to import.
      I wouldn't even mind one with a PRV V6.
