V.I.S.I.T.: A Pair of Vintage Cushmans

So the other day this olelongrooffan was cruising down Nova Road here in the World Center of Racing. As usual, I was in the far right lane as I am usually the slowest vehicle on the road. Suddenly I heard the rumble of several bigassed, loud pipe possessing motorcycles came blowing by my Comanche at a pretty good clip. I then spotted these two vintage Cushman’s riding in the rocking chair. I noticed the stop light just down the road a piece had turned red so I snatched my elcheapoebay acquired image taker and without prompting she did exactly what she was supposed to. I’m not sure if I was more excited about that or seeing those sweet old rides actually being ridden.

Cool, I had no idea that Cushman made bikes.

While Bus Plunge had a Cushman three wheeler that I delivered the doors for during my Road Trip, the first Cushman bike I saw was at Bike Week over on Main Street a couple years ago. They are pretty damn cool if I do say so myself.

Odd bikes. They look pretty cool. The designers either came from a non-motorcycle background or had a completely different set of design goals than, say, Harley-Davidson.

This'ne's been on the local CL for months. More a scooter than a motorcycle.
