Hooniverse Quick Take: 2014 Aston Martin Vanquish Exhaust Note

Jeff Glucker December 10, 2012 Hoonivercinema

Recently, I was invited out to NOLA Motorsports Park in New Orleans. The reason for the trip? To drive the 2014 Aston Martin Vanquish. Unfortunately, our track time was cut short due to a lot of rain that left standing water on the track. I did manage to get in a bunch of track time though, and the full review is coming later this week.

For now, however, I thought you’d enjoy watching a video of the tail end of the Vanquish as it screams at me.

    So that's what a V12 muscle car sounds like….

Man, every time I get to thinking I wouldn't want a new super car, a video like this comes along and changes everything.

The level of my jealousy cannot be described through words.

Needless to say, I kinda have a thing for Astons…

And by "thing", I mean I truly lust for them…

And by "truly lust", I mean I currently have a huge throbbing erection.

I appreciate this and it sounds good, but revving a car while standing still is a bit like wanking. Sure it makes noise just like going thru the gears at full throttle, but it's just not the same.

Now if you managed to get a video of say.. double cluthing it from sixth to third and running it to the redline, and you managed to do it without excessive wind-noise, i will give you one hundred million billion internet thumbs up. Doesn't come with a manual you say? right…

  7. Van_Sarockin says:

Glad you were able to put the downtime to good use.

Meanwhile, I've been tiling my kitchen.

    like a REAL MAN.
