I recently had the pleasure to attend a talk by the lead designer/mechanical engineer for the new Aston Martin Vanquish on how the shared platfor was re-engineered for each model in the lineup. It was a fascinating talk and this, unbelievably, was where the talk was held. In the most spotless service area I have ever seen. It housed such gems as a mint DB5, DB7 and multiple DB9s. But the icing on the cake was 4, yes four, One-77s quietly and unassumingly tucked away in a corner of the workshop. A genuine jaw-to-the-floor moment upon realising what I had seen.

Anyway i’m getting distracted. Mystery car. I could name each and every car in the workshop, bar one. The one under that pesky green sheet. I am completely at a loss.

Hope you can help!

Ssssooo Hoons, what is it?

    I think there's a car under there.

Don't know why it'd be in an Aston shop, but the size and shape look Fisker Karma to me.

Profile looks like it could be the new Vanquish too.

I'm with cabeza. I see a Karma every day at my place of work, so the silhouette is screaming Fisker to me. Long nose, short rear.

Looks like a DB9R to me.

It's a fleshed out concept car for the new installment of Ridge Racer.

At a glance, the brain says Maserati Gran Coupe or a new Viper.
The spoiler would be a problem in both cases.

The more I look at it, the more I'm thinking you're right with the Maserati guess. Looks like a GranTurismo to me.

  • brock

    Its another one-77

  • What about a V12 Zagato?

    • Manic_King
      • Surprised Zagato is surprised.

        I didn't know A-M built a 370z…

I had that thought as well, but the car under the sheet seems to have a longer nose that's thinner where it meets the cowl than the Zagato is. The tail also appears to taper off quicker on the sheet car, as it appears to have a little ledge behind the greenhouse and the Zagato really doesn't.

My vote goes to it being another One-77. The low profile, long bonnet, and the roof line seem to match up.

Did astin ever build a gt-3. why yes I think they did its got the length but no surf board spoiler on the back.
