Historic Sportscar Racing: The Vettes and The Stangs Edition

LongRoofian November 27, 2012 All Things Hoon

So a few weeks ago, this olelongrooffan snuck my skinny white ass into the Daytona International Speedway for the Historic Sportscar Races. While there, I gathered up just over 200 images on my elcheapoebay acquired image taker. I have shared a few of them with my fellow Hoons previously and here are a few more, this time the Mustangs and Corvettes.

I won’t be doing alot of commenting here as I really need to get a quote out to a dude up in Jonesboro Arkansas for a 52′ gooseneck so he can tote around his MOPAR show cars.

But hey, when the Chief Blooger puts out a call for a post or two, this olelongrooffan will jump through hoops to make sure all ya’all are getting your Hooniverse fix in.

Besides, any excuse for screwing off while hiding in my cube is acceptable to me.

But know this, I had a blast that day and there are few smells better than the scent of burnt racing fuel.

18 pictures at 1000 words per; you didn't need to write much else Olelongrooffan.

    Thanks for the fantastic coverage!

I can barely accept the Fox Mustangs as vintage, but certainly the US Army #3 car is too new for me.

When a group rents out the track, pretty much anybody who can afford it can come race. That Black Forest Mustang parked by the transporter was for sale. The one in the garage was their new one they were getting sorted out for the upcoming Rolex Grand Am season.

    Great stuff.
