What could possibly go wrong?
This engine in a Miata?
Yes, as a tribute to the new Miata/Spider that Alfa Romeo and Mazda are developing.
Is the engine block missing or am I just not seeing it.
I was thinking exactly the same thing. We seem to be missing kind of an important piece…
That aside, where was this taken? There's a Peugeot workshop manual to the side and a box labeled "Facel Vega" in the back…this is one heckuva swap meet!
Really it just needs one part. Once you find that then you can put the whole thing together and Bob's your uncle. Well, okay, two parts. You'll need to source an Alfa Romeo Montreal as well but I swear I've seen at least three and a half of them at this very flea market! Well, seven halves anyway.
All of them back halves.
But if only the block is missing, I'd find that more compelling than if I knew there was a grab bag of little bits and fitting that are missing. Unique little circlips or sodium cooled triangular section drift pins would keep me up nights.
Good God! Look what's written on that box in the back, at the top of the picture. I thought it was calling to me, turns out it was.
How did that you do? I have confusion.
Better claim your box at the courtesy desk, before they bring it to last and found.
I "know" an Italian "Shoemaker" that can whip that together with some concrete and a spade by this afternoon!
Uh, the block is likely still in his truck as he didn't want to haul it out, heavy you know, eh?
