Wagon Wednesday: 1955 Chevrolet Nomad Custom

LongRoofian October 31, 2012 All Things Hoon 3 Comments

So, normally, this olelongrooffan doesn’t post up alot about Tri 5 Chevys.  They are everywhere and I would suspect that most of my fellow Hoons see them at just about every car show or cruise in attended.  But this PMY 55 Nomad, for some unknown reason, just captured my attention and I thought I might share a few images of it with all y’all this Wagon Wednesday, Halloween Edition. It is afterall a Bel Air at Bellaire Plaza.

As are most of the Bel Air Nomads I seem to see these days, this one was highly customized with many aftermarket parts including gauges, foot pedals, steering wheel, console and more.  I mean cup holders in a 55 Nomad?  That is almost sacrilegious. But hey, to each his own.  I prefer my cup holders to be of this fashion.

But the bright yellow color of this longroof along with the contrasting bronze color of the roof sure captured this olelongrooffan’s attention this dreary and overcast Hurricane Sandy kind of day.

And I’ll bet it is sporting a SBC under the bonnet.
