Hoonivercinema- Name That Movie

Robert Emslie October 3, 2012 Hoonivercinema 17 Comments

Hollywood is faced with a daunting challenge – that of ever topping their own previous achievements. Movies, especially the Summer fare, are each year bigger, more explode-ier, and typically more dismissive of audiences’ intelligence. In contrast, our Name That Movie contest rewards your intelligence, and hopefully is as fun as watching one of the summer blockbusters. Today’s contest is a page-buster, and in fact is so grand in scale that you’ll need to make the jump to see the clues in all their Cinemascope glory.

Remembering the rules, the images after the jump represent a famous movie title – in car form – and it’s up to you to figure it out from those automotive visual clues. Click on through for the best seat in the house.

    Goddamit. Concentration needed.

A Cougar Meets an Old German Guy, Takes Her Top Off, and Gets Stung.

Adult film makers are not known for their creative titles.

There should be a secondary prize for Best Wrong Answer. Of course, officially sanctioning that might do away with any of us competing for the Correct Answer.

If we're to go by the order of the cars in the large, individual photos, then it very well could be M*A*S*H.

Regrettably, this doesn't work for their initial ordering.

Ah, but if you read the post you will see that the actual clue is after the jump, making your guess the correct one.

      Well done, medium rare!

Thanks! I figured that was the case, but wasn't about to pass up making that concluding initial remark.

You still haven't posted/authenticated the answer for the prior two puzzles.

There was a horror film titled "Left for Dead" but the Cougar is pointing right.

As the right answer is already been taken "Cars" something off.
Italian and German have more in common than the Evil Empire, see the Fiat Dino Coupe and the Audi Coupe.

Do you believe, as I do, that the coupe is far more attractive than the spyder?

Sure I do too, they ruined the spider giving it the lowered and more narrow front end. The way they did the spider it looks like a poor man´s Ferrari.

    Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy?

The Cook, The Thief, His Wife, And Her Lover?

Mother, Juggs, Speed, and no waitaminnit…

    Oh. It's been solved. Nuts.

If this was my four-car garage I could die a very happy man.
