Hoonivercinema- Name That Movie

It’s hump day and that means it must be time for Name That Movie, our Summer trifle to let you exercise your noggin without taxing the old grey matter too terribly. In fact, these contests have been so easy that I’m having a hard time coming up with ones that I think are worthy of your mad skillz. Still, we’ll try again today. Here’s an auto-related picture that’s reflective of a well-known movie title. It’s up to you to figure out what it is.

I would assume that is the Seagrave firetruck from the Hitchcock film "the birds" Never looked at a crow the same after that

  • Will

    Days of Thunder

    • Alcology

That's on HBO this month. Just watched it again last night!

  • JayP2112

One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest.

  • Twelve angry men

Since I see 12 plugs on one side of what appears to be an older, flat head V configuration engine, I have to guess that it is a V12 with 2 plugs per cylinder. There have been movies named Zephyr, but I haven't found a picture of a Lincoln Zephyr with 2 plugs per cylinder.

  • Spark Plug

Seriously, it was a movie (according to IMDB). I think we need a reboot.

    • I like the way you think.

    • Ding, ding, ding! We have a wiener! Okay, that one seemed to be a little more obtuse and took a little more time to solve. Maybe we'll keep this up after all.

    Chariots of Fire?

  • Van_Sarockin

    Truth in Twenty Four.

Or maybe: The Fifth (oil filter) Element.

    • Van_Sarockin

Might also be a reference to Sparkledog's new album.

  • Skanky Plugged Holes 12.

I don't know for a fact that's an actual movie title but it's a good bet.

    • JayP2112

I'd watch it but I think I'd have to see 1 thru 11 to follow the plot.

    • $kaycog

I saw that movie. It stunk.

      • OA5599

It's OK if you don't try to over-analyze the storyline.

      • Alcology

Pay per view cut out on me because of a brown out

      • FuzzyPlushroom

Wait, was it presented in Smell-o-Vision?

        • $kaycog

          Oh, geez……..I hope not.

        • I should have expected you, of all people, to roll with the John Waters reference.

  • Well, this was worth it just for the searching of IMDB for the word 'spark'. Titles that would serve…

Tremble & Spark (which is not a Clinton Era buddy flick) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1178660/

The Fable of the Divine Spark That Had a Short Circuit http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0005271/

The Right Spark Plug in the Right Place (which begs for a sequel, "Where I Left the Left Spark Plug) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0316490/

    Tomorrow's Spark Plug Day http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0417206/

  • I went to IMDB and searched for "Spark."
I now need to find the 1913 silent film "The Spark of Manhood" just to find out exactly what the heck that would be. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0004623/

Sounds like something Charles might know.
