Motorboat Monday: Folding Boat on a Motorcycle Trailer

Kamil Kaluski May 21, 2012 Motorboat Monday 30 Comments

Have you ever found your wishing to ride your motorcycle to your secret fishing spot? Sure, we all have, but it has been all but an impossible dream. Until now.

Folks, I present to you… the little folding fishing boat that goes on a little trailer which can be pulled by your motorcycle.

[Source: Kansas City Craigslist | Thanks for the tip Travis! ]

From the ad:

This trailer was made by U.S. Hovercraft and I can’t find any information about it on the web. This might be the “Coolest Motorcycle Trailer Every” [sic]. The boat, trailer and 2HP motor weights about 200 pounds. Needs to be restored and colored match to your bike but how cool would this be!!. Asking $1,000.00

Oh, you want a V8 bike to pull it with too? This guy has it:

2000 Kannon with a Chev 355hp ZZ4 available for $16,500.00. And it will pull it.

  • Aah, now I understand. My wife once told me she likes riding on the back of motorcycles, and it makes the little man in the boat happy.

      You win.

      • Comments closed. Everybody move along. Nothing else to see here.

  • lbreevesii

Well to be fair, it is being pulled by a V8 powered motorcycle…

Nothing like going to a secret fishing spot for a little motorboating.

  • Marcal

I think the motorcycle is a bit much, but I like the boat. This is the kind of creativity I appreciate – someone saw a need for a small, portable boat, and built it.

There is no such need for a Godfather Roadster.

A V-8 motorcycle must be a real handful on a slick boat ramp.

    • I imagine you would walk the trailer down the ramp by hand – it only weighs 200 lbs.

I hope it has some kind of retaining clamps for use when unfolded, because all I'm picturing right now is being in the water in that thing and getting iron maidened as soon as my fat ass ventures too close to the middle…

    • In fairness, as soon as it cracks in the middle and you fall through, then the load is released and it'll chomp down on you, Pac-man style.

      • …and taking you to the bottom like a human clam.

      • Scandinavian Flick

Wacka wacka wacka wacka wacka…………. BeyooOooOooOooOooOoo woop woop!

        GAME OVER

  • pj134

do u have V8 bike frames

    • Scandinavian Flick

Just a moment. Let me transfer you to our cotomer sevis department.

      • pj134

Just think, if that happened with current [Redacted] they would have done a 45 post expose on "Who is 'Zach'?"

They would have finished it up by finding out who he is by posting all of his personal information and then filing a harassment case against him.

Social media has made research based journalism so simple these days! Isn't technology swell? I think it's neat!

    • I am disappoint…

… that it took so long for this comment to appear. Have we really forgotten where we came from?

      • pj134

I was going to post it at 10:30, but unfortunately they needed me to work while at work.

  • Van_Sarockin

All I know is that it seems like a lot of clams for that boat.

    • Alcology

Looks like someone bought it. You'll have another chance to be Boat_Sarockin

      • Van_Sarockin

I'm not so sure how I feel about drinking american beer in a canoe.

  • Alcology

    I miss motorboat mondays

  • Daniel Ketch

That's something I've never seen before. Whoever rides that better be more careful than usual though. With the added presence of that boat, any motorcycle accident lawyer in los angeles would have a field day if an accident happened.

  • Isaac Dalton

That's a very nice folding motor boat. Unlike our pontoons in Australia, we could bring this anywhere we want and it looks lightweight too.

  • Dred Fickle

It will definitely look like you're going to need to have an injury lawyer in Long Island by your side if you even dare to think you'll be going somewhere with the use of that motorcycle. It will surely be a suicide in the making.
