Italy Week: Super Facebook Mega-Gallery Madness!

Hooniverse June 17, 2010 In General

Mercifully, no PT Cruisers in this album.

So the kids these days are all on this “face book” thing, which (if you’re to believe the local news) must be a hotbed of “sexting” and that foul hip-hop music. It’s also a good place to look at some cars.

Here is the Facebook mega-gallery to all the interesting cars and motorcycles that slipped through the cracks. Put on some Matt Monroe, pour yourself some Tuaca in a highball glass, slip on your Wayfarers and don’t pretend that you’ve got anything better to do on a Friday before you clock out of work. (Maybe save the Tuaca for when you get home first.)

And while you’re wasting record amounts of productivity, look up Hooniverse on Facebook and Twitter and be our friends! It won’t be like that time in high school when you tried to ask Michelle Gerber to dance with you at Homecoming (that you didn’t want to go to, anyway, but your friends were gonna go blaze behind the band storage room afterwards, even though Steve’s mom was chaperoning that night and she would have taken away his Playstation 2 for a month and a half and he just got Grand Theft Auto 3, dammit) and she laughed so hard trying to say “NO!” that she fell into a coughing fit and her face turned into the color of a grapefruit. No, we’ll actually be your friends. We swear. Cross our hearts and hope to die.

I love that our google ads are so far off due to our tags and key words…

On the topic of Italy and Italian cars, I saw a Quattroporte last week. The driver appeared to be a chauffeur. It was parked in the Stop & Shop parking lot.

That picture of the O.G. Fiat 500 parked next to the Smart car is hilarious.

That was great. Quite the variety of cars and bikes, and a lot of them I remember from being there ages ago, like the Cinquecentos and French Ducks (2 CV's). However, the only Harley I remember seeing back in the early eighties was owned by one of my Army buddies, and was a big hit wherever he rode it. I got a kick out of seeing the picture of the side by side quad parked on the street. It makes sense having one in a congested urban environment like Rome with its narrow streets and rough cobblestones. I'll bet it's a real blast hooning around in it in Italian traffic.

  4. And referring to the tags, I still get poked on facebook. I still don't comprehend what the hell being "poked" means

    That was an amazing album.

I might be your Facebook friend. Maybe. But you have to tell me who you are before I'll add people. I get a lot of "spam-sluts" trying to be my OMG NEW BFF on Facebook.

And by "spam-sluts", I pretty much just mean Graverobber.

So, hey, not to be picky and stuff, cause, well, I like friends and all, but… Could we maybe get rid of the facebook… um… friends-list dealie up there at the top of the page? The nannies at work don't like the book of face, and it's really reducing my ability to Hoon at the office…

    /slightly off-topic
