For Sale Cheap; A 2010 Camaro SS in Need of Some Body Work!

Jim Brennan April 26, 2010 In General

Take a look at the lead image (go ahead, I’ll wait…..). It looks like a totaled Camaro, but the other images of this wreck will leave you speachless. We received this through our Hooniverse Tip Line (Thanks CaffeineFuelled), so make the jump to see the rest.

According to Lynn from her e-mail: “This takes some time to study, to realize what it is you are actually looking at. The telephone pole helps as a reference point… Except for a scratch on his hand the Driver was totally unharmed.” Yes you read right, the driver walked away!

The Driver should just go out and buy 100 lottery tickets.

First comment: It's "speechless", not "speachless".

    Second comment : DAMN!!!

Say, who is that guy? I never, never, never want to be a passenger in any car that he's driving.

  4. First thought: Man, he must have been hauling ass.

Second thought: Good thing nobody was riding shotgun. They wouldn't have walked away.

    • ahhh… i didn't see anything about it in the article… so i was going to ask (as to your second thought)… 'how'd the passenger fare in this one?'____hopefully the lack of mention means no one was in that seat…

  5. Also: That will not buff right out.

  6. And we thought its 0-60 was impressive, check out that 60-0

It's like the old saying about why don't they make the airplane out of the same stuff as the black box? America wake up! Start making your cars out of telephone poles for the ultimate in safety!

  8. I'm impressed that the door glass on both sides is intact!

    • That's the first thing I noticed too. I was looking for anything that may be salvageable, and realized you could still see a reflection in the passenger window. Mere inches from the carnage… THAT'S impressive.

  9. …and as he stumbled from the wreckage, the driver was heard to exclaim, "ouch, my wallet!"

Dibs on the engine and transmission! What…. Too soon?

I like how he opened up the space, the Camaro's bunker interior always felt a little cramped.

  12. Tomsk says:

Yikes. If it was yellow and black it'd be a Bifurcated Bumblebee.

i love how they did a test like this in mythbusters and it was like impossible to do that but ok

    • johnny says:

yeah, they tested that 'myth' on a boat, not a car. whats allows a car to split like that is the simple fact that it is generally flat, unlike the hull of basically any boat capable of acheiving the necessary speed and still being small enough to recieve any noticeable damage. thank you for your very astute and inaccurate observation. have you considered a position as a states attorney?
