Metacars Invades Craigslist with Parody Civic Ad?
The great XKCD once challenged readers to write a youtube comment so dumb people would know it must be fake. It’s nearly impossible. Such is the case with Craigslist ads for super JDM ricemobiles. Mr Howser sent this in, and we’re pretty sure it’s a spoof…but then again, it we’ve seen stranger ads on the ‘List. Hit the jump and be ready to laugh or cry…

So this is a 69′ honda civic/lambo
95 front end conversion
k20r
full race turbo kit
Mugen wide body
short ram cold air intake
buddyclub kit molded front to back
full exhaust headers pipes and 5zigen muffler
jdm rear disc brakes conversion
intake is aftermarket
paint job is pretty good it was done about 3 years ago (My brother paid $ 5000 for his paint job)
rsx tail lights
lambo doors with lambo interior
from what i know this has a d15b
interior is good only thing bad is the front seats
motor was switched out about 2000 miles ago
roughly 110,xxx miles & still runs like a champ
new timing belt done and never driven since then just turned on to make sure it was good
new water pump tune up
i think the rims are 16′s

Considering it has a Lambo interior, that's the entire asking price right there. I would ask which Lambo, though. Did he put a Miura interior in his Honda? That would be something special.

Aha, I hadn't quite wrapped my head around it. I was thinking that the hatch, being basically a gull-wing would be awesome enough, but I didn't think about making it a scissor-type hatch. I'd rather have gull-wings than scissors, but I suppose there's nothing an enterprising tuner won't do.
I imagine it would open like one of those Sidekick phones with a little flat spin.

Oh, it's got a K20(R? what's that one?) AND a D15 — an 850HP D15 (huh?)! I'll bet it's one of those "engine on each axle deals!
I thought the Civic was introduced in the '70s ('75? I guess I could look it up if I were so inclined…). A '69 would have been a rare bird had he not ruined it with the '95 front end conversion and Lambo components.
It's an 88-91 Hatch beneath that front end. I'm thinking that ad has got to be a fake, just not right for a ricer ad.
