Ok, so it does look a little goofy and a lot redneck-y but seeing the thing in action makes up for it. It looks hella fun!
It appears to be some sort of kit you can buy and mount your RWD car to. That’s about all I know as I could find very little information since the creators site is in Russian and clicking the English link reveals a phone number and a single mysterious sentence: Equipment for transforming an ordinary car to cool snowmobile or SnowFootCar during 1 hour.
It appears to be nothing more than a trailer frame with a ski and super-large tires. Simplicity FTW!

Now that I've gotten that out of my system, I want that. I'd be just as happy with a stock(ish) Signet wagon, but I'd be the envy of my little redneck town with something like this. Bonus points if I'm rocking a ragged V6 Camaro/Mustang or a full-sized domestic truck (probably a Dodge Ram, but any would do) with Calvin showing the world what brand of truck I just don't care for.

I see no issues with this design. As a licensed Professional Engineer, I would gladly stamp those drawings.

Well, Soviet car industry never came even near the production capacity "market" required and it never produced anything suitable for frozen lakes, which are everywhere in former SU during harsh winters. Only thing they made for winter use was god-awful "Buran", POS ancient crappy snowmobile wannabe. And even this was not available for purchase. Fishermen then got inventive and created those "monsters". Usually these are based on UAZ frame (soviet Jeep if you will), with four wheel drive, newer ones have GPS and hydraulic ice drills even. No need to go out to cold much, one needs some vodka and snacks and can spend whole day away from home & wife (which is the most important reason for fishing to these guys).
Jo needs one of these to navigate the frozen Utah Tundra. Call it the Schmomowagen.
