I just went for a short cruise during my lunch break here at the office when I spotted the above gem of a plate. This is a quickie post but I wanted to share it with you.
We have all seen some real great ones out on the road… share your favorite in the comments!

An MSU license plate with the number TOLEN. I thought it was fitting.
I also saw a car with the place 1OVER0. Guess what kind of car it was on.
That second one is pretty clever. I've always liked FAA Q
This might help understanding the MSU tag:

Anyone Finnish here?
Nope. Just getting started.
Bah-dum TISH!
Any sex? This guy sounds desperate.
My wife, whose name is Gloria, drove a 70-something VW Beetle in high school. The license plate said GLOBUG. I'm contractually obligated to find this humorous.
And I saw MB's BMW on a new Z yesterday, which I found a bit confusing.
By the way, the driver of the NSX does not look too happy about you taking a picture of his car.
I always feel weird taking pictures of cars while the people are in them, it makes me feel like some sort of collection agent. People definitely have no problem whatsoever taking pictures of me in the Coupe Z, though. That's what's nice about the Volvo 145, only car-guys know it's cool, and they just give you a smile or a thumbs up, they don't run out into traffic or hang out the passenger window waving their cell-phone at you.
saw an nsx on sunday that had the plate "FSTNSX" not awesome, but related.
Oh, it's awesome.
Was it driven by a large woman with a short haircut?
Did it have a license plate frame that said "My Other Car Is A Subaru Forester"?

Saab 9-2X with the license plate SAABARU
I have "HOONAGE" on my STI. It's always funny to see parking tickets with HOONAGE in big block letters.
Is this yours?

Picked this up somewhere on the net…
I think I will steal that in my state.I'll give you a credit footnote.
This is the best DMV shenanigans I've come across:

A while back, my (now-ex-) girlfriend and I were in traffic, and in front of us was a very low S10. She asked why it was so low, and I responded with, "Because it's awesome." She rolled her eyes, then the S10 raised itself up to clear some roadworks, and she said, "Oh my god, that's so cool!" At that point, I went on to explain why my xB needs air suspension (again, awesome), and that finally convinced her.
The S10's plate was 'CNSPARKS.' It had a V8 with no hood, as I noticed when we drove past.
WOW, what place do you live where they use eight characters on license plates?
Some time back I saw a Porsche (911 I think) with tags that read: "RVO VUM" I honestly did not get what the plates meant until I saw them in my rear view.
3rd gen Camaro with UC IM L8
9-5 Aero with SNAAB
SNAAB! I went to high school with a girl with that car.
When I was a little kid, I had a neighbor with a white Super Beetle Convertible. The plate? "TOPLESS."
I also had a math teacher whose ancient Subaru had the plate "DOK DOK." Hardly anyone figured it out until he explained that it was a "pair of DOKs."
For sheer cleverness, though, it's hard to beat the old Mercedes 240D in my town that has "PL8GAME."

I think this owner is confused about what kind of SUV he purchased.
I saw 68NIOU1 on a Blazer a couple of years back.
my favourite was a number plate URABUS on a WRX, it didnt make much sense till i read it backwards!
i cannot find my pic of it… but white suburban spotted in proabaly '03 or so running around indianapolis with iowa plates that simply read "BEER"
Yellow Saab 99 convertible with "SNAAB" on the plate.
I had a buddy with a SAAB and he put on a plate that read OTAMWAY, and one CHP officer who stopped him for excessive speed said, “I suppose you think your license plate is funny”.
Well yes, it was, after that hapened!
You absolutely outdid yourself with this. Great work
